Dr. William Mirchoff was born and raised in southern California. He recieved his B.Sc. (Biology) from California State Polytechnic University Pomona in 1978, DPM from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco in 1982, and completed his Surgical Residency at Fountain Valley Hospital in Orange County in 1983.He served as president of the B.C. Association of Podiatrists 1993-1996 and President of the Canadian Podiatric Medical Association 1995-1996.​As an avid outdoorsman with a love of the sea and mountains, he fell in love with Vancouver Island. While on a camping holiday in summer of 1982. He began practice in Oak Bay the next year. He enjoys boating, kayaking, skiing, fishing, and hunting.​He and his wife Kelley have 3 children: Luke, Beau, and Raeanna. ​My Philosophy:I believe that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. That is why my focus has slowly changed from surgery to biomechanics over nearly 30 years of practice. My job is to help my patients with almost any foot problem, which is why I treat or can advise on treatment for everything from toenails to trauma, from infants to centenarians.
